Adam Olivier is a meteorologist for News15.

Title: Meteorologist

Adam is a native Louisianian, growing up on the Westbank of New Orleans. He also has roots in Acadiana, with family ties to Jeanerette. Ever since he was a kid, he knew he wanted to be a meteorologist. During many tropical storms and hurricanes, he would pretend that he was a Weather Channel meteorologist and “report” on the storm from his backyard. His love and respect for weather continued during the very active 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons. Hurricanes Ivan, Cindy, Katrina, and Rita confirmed to him that meteorology was his passion in life.

Adam went to the University South Alabama for Meteorology and earned his bachelor of science degree in meteorology with University Honors in 2016. Before coming to Acadiana, Adam had a great opportunity to join the weather team at WALA-TV FOX10 in Mobile, Alabama, keeping him along the Gulf Coast. During his three years there, Adam covered numerous hurricanes, including Hurricane Michael in 2018, tornadoes, and winter storms. He was also a storm chaser for the station and would go report on the aftermath of big weather events including the 2016 Flood here in Louisiana.

Outside of work, you can find Adam cheering on South Alabama, LSU, and the Saints. He is also a big soccer fan, especially when the World Cup rolls around every four years. Beyond sports, you can also find Adam enjoying the outdoors, listening to music, or studying up on Louisiana history.
