SABINE PARISH (January 16, 2021)- The State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFM), in conjunction with the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office, arrested a Zwolle man for setting fire to the trailer where his estranged wife was asleep at the time of the fire.
Keivondrick Cutright, 31, was booked into the Sabine Parish Jail on one count each of Aggravated Arson and Violation of a Protective Order.
Around 11 a.m. on January 2, the Central Sabine Fire Department responded to the 2300 block of Marthaville Road in Many for a report of a trailer fire with suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, no fire was active, but evidence of a fire on the exterior of the trailer was located. The SFM was then contacted to assist with determining the origin and cause of the fire.
Following an assessment of the scene, and collecting witness statements, SFM deputies determined the fire originated on the exterior of the mobile home and was intentionally set.
Deputies learned the resident of the trailer was in the process of divorcing Cutright and a protective order was in place against him.
Through extensive investigative efforts, Cutright was confirmed as the suspect in the case and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office located Cutright on January 12 and took him into custody on the outstanding warrant.
