Youngsville Chief of Police, Rickey Boudreaux is reminding citizens not to text and drive. The Youngsville Police Department posted this message on its facebook page:

Message from Chief Rickey Boudreaux and The Youngsville Police Department:

Please do NOT text and drive, especially through a school zone. Students are still in school for another month, so please be vigilant and aware when driving through a school zone. Fines are double while in a school zone, but nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our students and you. Let’s all do our part to make our community even safer.

Please do NOT text and drive, especially through a school zone. Thank you and be safe!
