Two undefeated teams go toe-to-toe when STM travels to Carencro this Friday. Both teams are undefeated and there's no way they want to suffer their first loss of the year to one of their biggest rivals.
"Carencro is a really good football team," Jim Hightower said. "They are a hard-nosed and physical football team. They are hard-nosed, especially on offense. They have an experienced offensive line that knows what it is doing. That is very veteran group that understands the offense. For our offense, they have some kids on defense that can really move. It's a real challenge for our offense that we are looking forward to."
"We just have our linebacker for them," Carencro senior defensive end Tony Leger said. "We are going to give them something different and give them our best."
"It all starts with being able to line up properly," Carencro head coach Tony Courville said. "We have various looks we are going to give them and hopefully we can get some pressure on the quarterback."
Last season Carencro held the ball for almost 20 minutes of the 24 minutes in the first half. STM knows what's coming this year and he says just keep getting first downs and finding a way to win
