Two Arrested in First Degree Murder of Juvenile

United States Marshalls arrested Jadarius “JD” Simmons and Crystal Savoy on charges of accessories in the first degree murder case of a juvenile on May 15, 2020.

United States Marshalls arrested Jadarius “JD” Simmons and Crystal Savoy on charges of accessories in the first degree murder case of a juvenile on May 15, 2020. In addition, Savoy is facing charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, criminal street gang activity, improper supervision of juveniles, and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. Simmons also faces additional charges, including solicitation of membership in a criminal street gang, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and criminal conspiracy to commit a crime. Both suspects were arrested by the US Marshalls in Evangeline Parish and were transferred to Acadia Parish where they were booked. As of April 14, four arrests have been made in the murder case of Juvenile Emori Carter, and investigators are continuing their investigation into additional possible suspects involved.
