Two Arrested In Saint Street Robberies

Lafayette, LA – Lafayette Police Officers responded to the “Saint Street” area in reference to multiple robberies that had occurred within a short time frame on Friday December 3, 2021 around 5:00p.m.

Throughout the investigation it was learned two males driving a vehicle approached victims who were walking in the area. The males demanded personal items from the victims and then fled the scene. No victims were injured during this incident. Later in the night Lafayette patrol officers were able to locate the vehicle that was used during the robberies.

Lafayette Police Investigators with the Criminal Investigations Division later arrested Davontre Nathan 20 of Lafayette and Brandon Babineaux 22 of Eunice. Both were charged with 2 counts of attempted first degree robbery and one count of first degree robbery.
