Traffic Stop Leads to Narcotics Arrest

Narcotics Agents with the New Iberia Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation on August 18, 2020.

Narcotics Agents with the New Iberia Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a violation on August 18, 2020. Narcotics Agents utilized the K9 and after a subsequent search, Agents seized approximately (44.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine), (19.3 grams of methamphetamine), (180.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine) for a total of approximately 8.6 ounces of methamphetamine. Also seized was approximately 17.6 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl mixture also known as “Grey Death.”

Kenwin J. Lewis was arrested and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on the following charges:
Failure to Signal 100 ft. prior
Possession of Schedule I
Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II
Parole Violation Warrant and a Child Support Warrant.
