Three Injured in Ville Platte Shooting on Easter Night

Officers with the Ville Platte Police Department were dispatched to the corner of NE Railroad Avenue and E Desoto Street in reference to shots fired.

Officers with the Ville Platte Police Department were dispatched to the corner of NE Railroad Avenue and E Desoto Street in reference to shots fired. Officers learned that multiple shots were fired in the area of Hope Park and three people were injured.

Two juveniles and 1 adult were treated at Mercy Regional Medical Center for injuries that were not life threatening. All three victims are stable at this time.

Chief Lartigue reports several people of interest have been identified but cannot release any further information as the incident is under investigation.
