Tech Company Relocates to Lafayette

State and city officials joined the CEO of School Mint, Brian Mcdonald, to annouce the consolidation and relocation of their headquarters from Silicon Valley to Lafayette. The move will bring more than 400 direct and indirect jobs to Lafayette.

State and city officials joined the CEO of School Mint, Brian Mcdonald, to annouce the consolidation and relocation of their headquarters from Silicon Valley to Lafayette. The move will bring more than 400 direct and indirect jobs to Lafayette. 

McDonald says that after accquiring a small company here in Lafayette called Smart Choice technologies, and learning about the incredible business climate, the company's leaders soon realized they can create a sustainable future right here in the Hub City.

"Between the Fast Start program, the quality jobs initives, the talented workforce that is here, the university to career pipline, the local culture that is delightful and the amazing quality of life here, we realized this could be potentially, game changing,"  says, Brian Mcdonald.
