Victim Identified in Fatal St. Landry Parish Shooting

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's office is investigating a fatal shooting that left one person dead

UPDATE: (KADN) - St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz has confirmed for News15 that the victim in Wednesday night's fatal shooting near the Sheriff's Public Safety Complex was Rachelle Arceneaux Hills, the wife of suspect Derrick Hills who was captured in Rapides Parish.

Opelousas - The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's office is investigating a fatal shooting that left one person dead. It happened at a mobile home near the St. Landry Public Saftey Complex. Deputies received reports of someone being shot around 7:40pm on Wednesday. The suspect identifed as Derrick Hills, fled the scene, but was later arrested in Rapides Parish.
