An update to a shooting that occurred on April 4th. The victim has died and the charges on Cornelius Davis of Crowley has been upgraded to One count of Second Degree Murder, One count of Attempted Second Degree Murder, and One count of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.


According to Chief Wilton Guidry, Sr. of the Grand Coteau Police Department, The suspect of a late Sunday evening shooting has been arrested. Carnelius Davis has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder and aggravated criminal damage to property. Davis is being held in the St. Landry Parish jail and his bond has been set at $300,000. The victim in the shooting is in critical condition and more charges could be added according to Chief Guidry.
