On the afternoon of July 3, 2020, four suspects entered into the Westwood Subdivision in Crowley, all openly wielding firearms. The four suspects opened fire across a field where multiple children were playing and adults were scrambling to protect their children. The four suspects specifically targeted five victims, hitting one of them. Two of the four suspects had recently been arrested by the Crowley Police Department and now a third Suspect, Deandre Felix, has been arrested in connection to the five counts of attempted second degree homicide. The U.S. Marshalls assisted the Crowley Police Department by locating Felix and enforcing the arrest. Detectives for the Crowley Police Department have also identified the fourth suspect and a future arrest is expected.
