(KADN) - St. Martinville Police say they're waiting on the public library's information technology specialists to hopefully come up with surveillance video of the driver alleged to have tried to lure two teenagers into a white van Thursday afternoon on Lewis Street near the library.

The teens didn't take the bait and reported the interaction to police, telling officers a black male was the driver.

"The same thing happens this time every year when kids get out of school," Police Chief Ricky Martin tells News15, adding that so far investigators have had "no luck" in identifying the perpetrator.

Officers continue to interview residents in the area and hope video will surface leading to an arrest.
