St. Martinville shooting in the 100 block of N. Vivier Street

On January 29, 2021, at approximately 8:00 pm, Officers with the St. Martinville Police Department responded to a shooting in the 100 block of N. Vivier Street.

On January 29, 2021, at approximately 8:00 pm, Officers with the St. Martinville Police Department responded to a shooting in the 100 block of N. Vivier Street.

Upon arrival, officers learned there was a disturbance between two subjects that led up to them exchange gunfire. The victim was driven to a nearby convenience store. Officers located the victim at the convenience store suffering from a bullet graze to the side of the head. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for the injuries sustained. The victim is in stable condition.

Through the course of the investigation, Investigators were able to develop the second suspect and identify him as Isiah Francois. If anyone has any information related to this incident or knows Francois's whereabouts, they are asked to contact the St. Martinville Police Department at 337-394-3001.
