St. Martinville, LA- Sheriff Becket Breaux announces the implementation of the Litter Abatement Program. The program is to consist of a Sheriff’s Deputy and a working offender crew of three (3) inmates.
Locations of the Litter Abatement Program are determined by complaints from the general public and a mapping system. The program is currently active and the crew is working (5) days a week on parish roads and state highways. The program also serves as a rehabilitation program for offenders incarcerated in the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
If you know of a road or area in need of attention from the newly implemented Litter Abatement Program, please forward your request to our Property and Project Manager, Kim Angelle via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sheriff Breaux is committed to keeping St. Martin Parish safe and beautiful, but he wants to remind everyone that littering is still a finable offense. You can be fined up to $500.00 if you are caught littering the streets of our parish. So, do your part in helping to keep our roadways and ditches free of debris by not littering.
