Raymond says, "We lost a lot of our staff servers are paid a very minimal salary they depend upon the tips that they get from the public so a lot of our people could not even stay with us so we did we lost a lot of our employees"

While others moved on or found a new way to make money raymond says they had a group of workers who stayed during the hardships and are now being rewarded.

"For those people who stayed with us we're now giving back to them we're going to give them each a little bonus and we're able to give increases so from everything bad something good comes out god has a plan for us and all we have to do is listen to him"

Many businesses are having trouble finding workers due to unemployment benefits. One lafayette resident says he understands why people are choosing unemployment benefits over a minimum wage job.

Johnson says "I was making minimum wage and similar to a lot of people you put in a lot of time and houra and your only getting the bare minimum and i feel like that's not fair"
