Curtis Francis, 28, of Lafayette was taken into custody after being released from a local hospital on July, 27. Francis was charges with 4 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder and 3 counts of Assault by Drive-By Shooting. Francis was booked at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, and transferred to Hunts Correctional Facility due to a medical issue.
This is an ongoing investigation.
