NBC News - On Jan. 5, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a disturbance involving a firearm in the 100 Blk of Hebert Road.
The suspect was involved in a verbal altercation with two out of the four victims. The suspect disengaged from the verbal altercation and proceeded to his residence a short ways away. Once here, he retrieved a rifle and proceeded to the residence of the victims.
As the father and his three sons exited their vehicle, the suspect fired several shots at them. No one was injured, but their vehicle sustained damage from gunfire.
The suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is Mr. Jospeh Devoltz, 26, of Lafayette. He is wanted for 4 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.
