During the holidays, many nursing home residents feel overlooked and forgotten, especially those residents who do not have family to purchase gifts for them at Christmas. Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office Staff will be collecting items for local Nursing Home Residents.

Sheriff Tommy Romero stated that with Covid restrictions, IPSO is very conscious of the loneliness these residents have endured in the last 9 months. Our employees are holding a drive within our offices, but we would also like to extend this gift giving opportunity it to the residents of Iberia Parish.

On Wednesday, December 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. donations can be dropped off at our Patrol Division Office at 322 Providence Street for anyone wanting to donate items. IPSO will divide up all donations between the 5 Nursing Homes in the parish.
