Scott Firefighers Respond to A Fire in the 100 block of Dassas Street

Scott Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire in the 100 block of Dassas Street.

On Sunday at 1:31 PM, Scott Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire in the 100 block of Dassas Street. Upon arrival
firefighters found the front end of a manufactured home engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control, containing the fire to the front of the structure. The homeowner was able to safely escape the home without injury. Four other occupants were not home at the time of the fire. American Red Cross is assisting the family with their immediate needs as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire was determined to be an air conditioner window unit. The home sustained major fire and smoke damage.
Firefighters from Lafayette, Judice and Duson responded to assist.
