RAYNE, La. (KADN) - A 14-year-old girl is facing terrorizing charges and an investigation into more bomb threats at schools in Rayne is underway.

According to a Facebook post by the Rayne Police Department, the girl was arrested after Armstrong Middle School received multiple emails threatening a bombing and mass shooting on April 12.

The student was an Armstrong student. She is now charged with five counts of terrorizing.

On the morning of April 20, Rayne High School received a bomb threat by telephone.

Police cleared the school and the campus was searched using specially trained K-9s.

According to RPD, no devices were found on campus and students were allowed back at 1:30 p.m.

Rayne Police say the threat is under investigation and "an arrest is probable."
