Damage, flooding reported across Acadiana from severe weather

Flooding and other damage has been reported across the area.

ACADIANA (KADN) - News15 is receiving reports of damage from Monday's severe weather across Acadiana.

This follows multiple tornado warnings throughout the day.

According to officials in Acadia Parish, storm damage was reported on Lyon's Point Highway south of Crowley and on J.B. Sarver Road near the Acadia/Vermilion Parish line.

The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office has responded to Ava Lane where several travel trailers have been turned over from the storm. They also reported trees and power line down in some areas.

JDPSO said that there are roads flooded and impassable, including Martin Luther King Drive and Leonard Road at US 190. Pousson Road and other nearby areas in Lacassine are flooded.

In St. Landry Parish, a tornado was seen over crawfish ponds in the Pecaniere area.
