New working environments means new security threats many are now saying since they've been working from home they question whether or not someone is watching them through a webcam or home security system.

"And with people working remotely they have to access a network from their house or from a remote location so the security gets a little more difficult because it has to verify that the person logging in that network is indeed who that person says there is"

There are a few ways that you can avoid becoming victim to cyber crimes.

"Don't take a phone call from Microsoft or QuickBooks or somebody you don't take these phonecalls to refinance your credit cards so don't take these there not trying to refinance your credit cards or fix your computer there trying to create a vector or get access to your system so that's number one"

Shawn Bernard works from home and believes virus protection will help prevent you from becoming victim to cybercrimes.

Virus protection on your computer system I know some banks and some businesses have protection that you can get as an extension to your bank accounts and different things like that to protect yourself.
