NEW ROADS, LA-The City of New Roads announced details for their latest community safe experience: Trick or Treat Main Street, a socially distancednight of Halloween fun, where the community will have the opportunity to drive down Main Street and visit themed booths to collect candy and toys.

Trick or Treat Main Street will be held Saturday, October 31, 5pm-7pm, at 211 W. Main Street. Businesses and organizations will have Halloween themed booths set up. Event attendees will drive down Main Street stopping at each booth holding their bag or bucket out of the car window to receive treats. In order to ensure a safe experience, event attendants are asked to remain inside of their vehicles at all time and booth participants will provide treats while practicing social distance wearing masks and gloves. Car attendants must also wear face masks while receiving treats.

Slots are still available for businesses and organizations to host a trick or treat booth. This is a great opportunity to promote a business or organization while serving the community. The City will provide the first bucket of candy for all participants.

For more information on hosting a booth, contact Larenda Broussard at 337-380-1321 or by email at lbroussard@cityofnewroads.net or Lynette H. Nelson at 225-638-5370 or lynette@cityofnewroads.net.
