Man Arrested and Charged With Multiple Counts of Burglary

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting all citizens with a storage unit in Lafayette Parish check on their stored property as part of an active investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office is requesting all citizens with a storage unit in Lafayette Parish check on their stored property as part of an active investigation. Storage units should be checked for any signs of burglary and assessed to determine if any property is missing. Any citizen reporting a storage unit burglary should be prepared to provide a detailed list of their stolen items to detectives in order to claim the property.

Throughout this investigation, Paul Kost Jr. was identified as a suspect. A search warrant executed at Kost’s residence lead to the discovery of various items reported as stolen from storage units in Lafayette Parish. Detectives recovered the stolen property and Kost was arrested and charged with multiple counts of burglary.
