According to Capt. James Thibodeaux, On the morning of October 15, 2020, a call came in from a local business. An initially unresponsive subject was located within a parked vehicle and was discovered to be the on duty employee. Located within the vehicle in plain view was what appeared to be suspected methamphetamine. After being taken into custody, an inventory search resulted in more suspected methamphetamine, codeine, xanax, ecstacy and marijuana. A loaded firearm previously reported stolen was also located.
28 year old Javon Pete was subsequently booked into the St Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
