Louisiana native, Damian Jones, signs with L.A. Lakers

L.A. Lakers' General Manager announced Friday that Baton Rouge native, Damian Jones, has signed a 10-day contract with the Lakers.

KADN/ KLAF-- Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager of the Los Angeles Lakers, Rob Pelinka, announced Friday that Baton Rouge, La. native, Damian Jones, has signed a 10-day contract with the L.A. Lakers.

Jones has won state titles while attending and playing for the Hornets in 2012-2013 at Scotlandville Magnet High School.

During the 2016 NBA draft, Jones was drafted by the Golden State Warriors out of Vanderbilt as the 30th pick in the first round.

Now, the 5-year NBA veteran has played a total of 118 career games, and averages at 4.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13.3 minutes.

His free agent deal with the Phoenix Suns was waived earlier last week.
