58 year old student arrested after bomb threat at SLCC.

UPDATE 4/8/21 3:37pm:  58-year-old student Brian Taylor of Lafayette was arrested after calling in a bomb threat at SLCC. He was charged with False Communication of a Bomb Threat on a School.


UPDATE 4/8/21 12:48pm : Students were ordered to work remotely today at South Louisiana Community College's Lafayette Campus after someone called in a bomb threat around 9am. Students were evacuated and a heavy police presence was on campus shortly after the call. So far no explosive devices have been found.


(KADN/KLAF) - A large police presence, as well as fire department are on scene at SLCC. People have been evacuated . News15 reached out to Lafayette Police and Fire Department and we are waiting to hear back. We will provide more information once it becomes available.
