UPDATE 3/25/2021 2:38PM: On March 25, 2021 Cody Salvador Guccione was indicted on the Second Degree Murder of Leo Jack.
UPDATE 2/9/2021 2:23PM: Lafayette, La.- On February 9, 2021, the Western District of Louisiana United States Marshals Service Violent Offender Task Force and the Lafayette Police Department arrested the suspect accused of murdering 32-year-old Leo Jack who was found dead on February 4th inside a local apartment in the 700 block of S. College Road.
29-year-old Cody Guccione of Lafayette, was located by officers at a local motel at approximately 9:40 am. He was transported to the Lafayette Police Department for questioning and subsequently placed under arrest. He was transported to the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and booked for Second Degree Murder.
UPDATE: On February 4, 2021 at approximately 12:04 pm, Lafayette Police responded to suspicious circumstance at a local apartment in the 700 block of S. College Road. Upon arrival, officers made contact with family members who advised they located the victim deceased inside the apartment. The cause of death is unknown at this time, but the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Leo Leroy Jack (B/M) of Lafayette.
