Lafayette Police Make Arrest in S. Saint Antoine St. Stabbing

Lafayette Police responded to the 400 block of S. Saint Antoine St. in reference to a stabbing.

UPDATE: On July 27th the suspect responsible for the Homicide in the 400 block of S. Saint Antoine St. on 7/23/21, turned himself in to authorities at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

27-year-old Troinathan Woods  of Lafayette had an active warrant issued for his arrest in reference to the case charging him with Second Degree Murder. He was placed under arrest and booked.

Lafayette, LA-  Lafayette Police responded to the 400 block of S. Saint Antoine St. in reference to a stabbing On July 23, 2021 at approximately 10:24 pm. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 57-year-old Kennedy Mouton Sr. of Lafayette. At this time no arrest or suspect information. The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lafayette Police or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
