Lafayette Police: 1 injured, suspect in custody for morning shooting on Van Buren Drive

LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) - One person is injured and a suspect in custody after a Thursday (September 23) morning shooting in Lafayette.

A Lafayette Police Department spokesperson told News15 that officers were called to an apartment complex in the 100 block of Van Buren Drive about 10:45 a.m. for shots fired.

They found one victim with a non-life threatening injury who was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The spokesperson said a suspect is in custody. The suspect's identity has not been released.
