The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted in regards to a residential contractor fraud complaint. The victim and the contractor, Warrick Paul Boudreaux, entered into a contractual agreement in 2019 according to Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz.
It was determined that Warrick Boudreaux, owner of WB Construction, LLC, was contacted by the victim to have remodeling duties done at her residence. Payment was submitted by the victim to purchase the materials needed and Warrick Boudreaux was compensated for labor.
While Warrick Boudreaux was installing flooring in the home, a water line was ruptured by him. The victim discovered the ruptured line months after the installation of the floor was completed. Warrick Boudreaux assured the victim that the damage would be repaired but never returned to the home to repair the damages. Warrick Boudreaux told the victim that he never returned due to the materials being stolen from her residence.
The victim made numerous attempts to contact Warrick Boudreaux during the following year with no results, and claims that he did not fulfill the contractual agreement by not completing the remodel. The total amount of the funds dispersed to Warrick Boudreaux was $14,225.07.
A warrant was issued for Warrick Boudreaux’s arrest.
On April 15, 2021, Warrick Boudreaux was booked at the St. Landry Parish Jail and was charged with Home Improvement Fraud.
On behalf of Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, this is Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
