LDH: 1,725 new COVID-19 cases, 39 new deaths reported since Oct. 1

Also among the deaths is that of a child between the ages of 12 and 17.

BATON ROUGE (KADN) - The Louisiana Department of Health is reporting 1,725 new COVID-19 cases and 39 new deaths since the last update on October 1st.

That brings total case numbers to 743,631 and 14,027 deaths since the pandemic started.

Also among those deaths is that of a child between the ages of 12 and 17.

LDH reported Monday that 25% of cases are among children 17 and younger.
