As the Jennings Bulldogs get read for a late start to the season, Hurricane Laura damaged part of Jennings knocking out power and trees. The Bulldogs are off this week. Without football, they still haven't forgotten about their community. Several players helped clean up the city.

"That was challenging for us having to quarantine some kids and stuff," Rusty Phelps explained. A few kids came down with COVID-19 earlier in the year.

"...Getting a football helmet on starting to move a little bit and practicing and then this happened. its great to see all your kids back and it did a pretty good amount of damage in Jennings."

Jennings begins the season against DeRidder in October.
