Jennings Man Arrested for Possession of Counterfeit Bills

A Jennings man is in the St. Landry Parish Jail accused of passing fake $100 bills.

EUNICE, La. - A Jennings man is in the St. Landry Parish Jail accused of passing fake $100 bills.

Eunice City Marshal Terry Darbonne tells News15 that 28-year-old Oscar Leblanc III was arrested after a traffic stop and found to have seven counterfeit $100 bills in his possession.

Darbonne tells us Opelousas Police also had a warrant for Leblanc for allegedly using $3,000 in fake hundreds to purchase a motorcycle there.

He's charged with multiple counts including possession of counterfeit bills and possession of stolen things.
