Lafayette, La. - Hospice of Acadiana (HOA) has been named a 2021 Hospice Honors Elite recipient by HEALTHCARE first, a leading provider of billing and coding services, CAHPS surveys, and advanced analytics. The prestigious annual review recognizes hospices that continuously provide the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view.
“We are incredibly proud of our team and the level of care we are able to consistently offer our patients and families,” said Michael LeJeune, interim CEO. “This doesn’t happen by chance. From our clinical care teams and administrative staff to our volunteers and Board of Directors, it is a concerted effort by all involved to fulfill our mission and honor the dignity of each individual.”
The Hospice Honors is a landmark compilation of hospices providing the best patient and caregiver experience. Award recipients were evaluated based on their performance on 24 quality indicator measures. Performance scores were aggregated from all surveys and were compared on a question-by-question basis to a national performance score calculated from all partnering hospices contained in the Hospice CAHPS database.
