Severe Storm Risk Through Thursday Afternoon

The Storm Track 15 Weather Team is tracking the threat for severe weather through this afternoon.

Overall model trends along with observations of ongoing weather in the region show a declining risk of severe weather for Acadiana Thursday. Stable air at the surface has hampered any storm development so far and while we can't rule out an isolated strong to severe storm the worst weather with this system looks to remain outside of the viewing area.

Timing for any storms we do see would be from midday into the early afternoon. After this, a cold front will move through and end any storm chances.
