Crowley, La. (UPDATE) - Crowley Police have made one arrest in connection with the double homicide that took place during a block party in Crowley.
The incident occurred on Dec. 27, 2020 at the 1000 blk of W. Hutchinson. Two victims were hit by gunfire and later died at the hospital from their injuries.
One suspect, Raphues Joseph “Aka Tonky” of Crowley turned himself in to Crowley Police and was arrested for two counts of 2nd-degree murder.
He is currently being held at the Acadia Parish Jail with an $825,000.00 bond.

During a block party that involved a large number of people, officers were dispatched to disperse the crowd.
While officers were on scene, a shooting occurred involving at least two shooters. Three subjects were hit, one fatally. Another is in critical condition.
Detectives are now following leads, but ask for the community’s help with any additional leads or tips.
Four people were shot, including one fatally during a block party in Crowley Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Crowley Police Chief Jimmy Broussard said the gathering was underway when shots rang off between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Sunday.
