LAFAYETTE - There's a saying that goes "April showers bring May flowers" and with all the rain we've had blossoming flowers are expected. What you would'nt expect is to have flowers that you just bought stolen right off of your property.

Well that's what has happened to a local dentist office. They say they need the publics help in identifying a thief who keeps stealing flowers from right off their property, the office says it's happened quite a few times.

Dr. David Chambers has been a Dental Surgeon at Curtis H Roy and Associates for the last 27 years. He says the dentistry is a nice place to work and visit.

"Always had a pleasant enviornemt here at the office, beautiful landscaping and everything." said Chambers

Recently, things have'nt been so pleasant at the office after the staff says they started noticing thier flowers kept going missing about two months ago.

"Lately we've had people stealing our plants at night and not just picking the flowers but they've been digging up the plants out of the ground." said Chambers

T his is the fourth time the office has had to replace their flowers. Chambers says it is'nt cheap either.

In an effort to catch the "flower bandit" the office installed security cameras which led to photos. Photos showing what looks to be a woman wearing a black and white jacket with red hair driving a silver chevy tahoe.

"We try to make this place a nice place to get your dentistry done. It's already hard to come to the dentist and we want a nice environment. That includes making the landscaping look good, making the building clean, making the flowers look nice so that when someone comes here hopefully they have a pleasant experience." said Chambers

The dentistry has taken their concerns to facebook with a post asking for the public's help. Attached to the Facebook post are pictures of the theif. The dentist office has also filed a report with The Lafayette Police Department.

Chambers says at the end of the day the office just wants to keep their flowers. When asked if he could say anything to the theif Chambers answered with "please, try to find another hobby."
