Firefighters Resond to A Deadly Mobile Home Fire In Opelousas

An elderly female victim was later discovered inside.

OPELOUSAS, La. - State Fire Marshal deputies were on the scene of a fire investigation in Opelousas involving one death.

Around 4:15 p.m., St. Landry Fire District #3 responded to a call for a mobile home fire located in the 200 block of Bernard Road in Opelousas.

An elderly female victim was later discovered inside. More information will be released as it becomes available.
