(KADN/KLAF) - A Duson Police officer has been fired after being arrested in Acadia parish on accessory after the fact to second-degree battery and malfeasance in office charges.
Duson Police Chief Kip Judice confirmed to News15 that he fired 32-year-old Casey Morgan on Wednesday after learning of his arrest in Acadia Parish.
Morgan was hired by Duson Police just two weeks ago after serving at the Crowley Police Department where, according to Judice, Morgan was as supervisor. Judice adds that Morgan had a clean record in his background check. This is a developing story we will provide more information once it becomes available.
