LAFAYETTE - "Can't decide whether to get the vaccine? Let this doctor help. What you need to decide is what's scarier, getting the vaccine or getting covid likely on repeat." said Herbert
Right here in Lafayette one local Doctor by the name of Britni Hebert took her medical knowledge to Tik Tok to give you the pros and cons as to why you should get vaccinated, take a look.
"You might feel bad after the vaccine, that's true but you're actaully more likely to feel bad after covid though." said Herbert
These are the most common symptoms for people with covid-19 according to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. After getting the vaccine there are complaints of a sore arm, Pharmacist Mark Mula explains.
"Anytime you put anything into a muscle you will have some soreness. you know you're penetrating the muscle with a needle and you're putting some medicine in there so you will have some soreness, nothing more than a bruise." said Mula
"People are really worried and scared about long-term outcomes after the vaccine, fairy dust. Over 300 million doses given, no longterm side effects have been noted." said Herbert
Lafayette resident Tracy Neuner says she was happy to get vaccinated after beating covid and suffering through a fever of 101.
"The one true lingering problem I have is insomnia. I'm having trouble getting to sleep, once I'm asleep I can probably sleep until about four." said Neuner
"Topping it off, it's small but it's really heavy. You might die, you might also cause other people to die, please vaccinate."
Herbert says if you don't get vaccinated you risk a strong possibility of having a stroke and permanent heart, lung and kidney damage.
