LAFAYETTE, LA -- Hospitalization numbers are continuing to increase which is raising concerns in Acadiana. Some are fearing the worst as those beds become unavailable for regular patients.
“They are short staffed , there are no beds , and you can't expect to get adequate care.” Roxanne Arceneaux Said.
Several people in the community are feeling hopeless of what’s to come as hospitalization grows at an alarming rate in the area.
“I took my friend to the ER this weekend, it was a three hour wait. God forbid if they are suffering from a heart attack.” Roxanne Arceneaux Said.
Governor John Bel Edwards mask mandate is something that Lafayette Resident, Roxanne Arceneaux is hoping people will continue to follow.
“Wear your mask , I know some people feel a certain way about wearing a mask. Just think about others.” Roxanne Arceneaux Said.
Many Healthcare workers in Acadiana say they are trying to accommodate as many patients as possible to help reduce the breaking records of hospitalization.
