New Roads, LA - Mayor Dukes announced the City of New Roads will host a COVID-19 Walk-Up Pfizer Vaccine Clinic Thursday, September 9, 2021, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Douglas Park, 10th Street, weather permitting. The event is a partnership with the Louisiana National Guard. The clinic is open to anyone ages 12 and over.

The Pfizer vaccine will be administered free of charge. Appointments are not required. “With the surge of the Delta variant, we are committed to keeping everyone safe,” Mayor Dukes said. “We’re providing the gift card as an incentive to achieve community immunity so that we can fight this pandemic.”

Anyone age 12 and older who receives a first or second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine will receive a $10 gift card while supplies last. If you have already received your first Pfizer dose elsewhere and are due for your second dose, you can attend this clinic. Jambalaya will be served.

Those who have already received COVID-19 vaccinations are encouraged to continue practicing all health and safety protocols. Continue wearing face coverings, maintaining proper physical distance from others, and sanitizing high-touch areas frequently.
